DRAGON ...

Formed in New Zealand in 1972, Dragon has attracted 35 top musicians to its ranks over their years of performing during which time they created a plethora of hit records and memories with their meteoric rise to the top of the Rock music field.  Many of their hits such as "April Sun in Cuba", "Are You Old Enough?", etc., have become firmly entrenched in the Kiwi Culture.

The Hunter Brothers, Todd and Mark, provided the solid basis which gave the band the talent and stability to continue though a halcyon career until 1999 when Mark's untimely death created a vacuum difficult to fill until reforming in 2000 with the present line up.

The 2010 Award is presented to representatives of the early Dragon Band, Todd Hunter from the original 1972 band, Marc Hunter 1973 (Posthumous) Robert Taylor 1973, Kerry Jacobson 1975 and the 21st millennium members Mark Williams, David Reid, Peter Drummond.
