About Time

Comprising some of New Zealand’s more seasoned and experienced musicians ABOUT TIME was formed by Peter Sowden and Brian Ringrose to be the mainstay of their “ROCKIN’ IS OUR BUSINESS” dance party’s and a feature band for corporate and special events.



This project was 12 months in the making and featured in the pedigree show band line-up are a group of musicians who were all members of leading Christchurch and Australasian groups in the 60’s:

PETER SOWDEN       drums                    (Max Merritt and the Meteors)
DON MILLS               keyboards             (Paris)
TREVOR WRIGHT     bass & vocals       (The Detours)
JIM PHILLIPS           saxophone            (The Detours)

Also appearing with the band are some of Christchurch’s leading vocalists, who include,
PETER WILLIAMS, (Max Merritt and the Meteors), PAT KEARNS, (aka Mark Anthony), NORM BLAND, (Village Gate), KELLY ENSOR, and together they perform a mixture of favourite hits from the 50’s through to the 70’s.
